Selection Inspector

A smart side panel that appears when rows are selected, showing relevant metadata and enabling quick editing.

When a single row is selected, the inspector shows all fields ranked by uniqueness. The most unique fields are shown first, making it easy to identify distinctive clip properties.

Selection inspector with single row

When multiple rows are selected, the inspector shows fields whose values match across the entire selection. By default, those shared fields are ranked by uniqueness against the full file, so rarer shared values appear first and common metadata appears lower.

Selection inspector with multiple rows
  • / / Sort mode: cycles between Uniqueness, View Order, and Alphabetical.
  • / Hide empty fields: toggles whether empty values are shown.
  • Pro lock: in Free mode, opens the Pro paywall for editing.
  • 3 Selection count: shows how many rows are selected.
  • Close: clears current selection (Esc).

Click any field value in the inspector to edit it directly. Changes are applied immediately to all selected rows.

Fields can be sorted by uniqueness (default), view order, or alphabetical order. Uniqueness mode ranks by how many rows in the file share each value, making distinctive fields easier to spot quickly. View order displays fields in the same column order as the main table, with preferred columns like Name, Duration, Start, and End first.

Set your default inspector sort and empty-field visibility in the Settings Dialog.
